The scree, like it's name, is a mass of stones that cover the side of the mountain, creating a slope. You can see much of the territory from here, and it is usually buffeted by strong wind. Small mammals can be found the crevices here, but it can be precarious. The loose stones shift easily, and many could slip and fall off the side of the mountain.
